Student Loan Program


The University offers several loan programs to students who are in need of financial assisstance during enrollment and while studying in UP. Interested students must apply personally at Room 305, 3rd Floor Vinzons Hall, UP Diliman.



LOAN PROGRAMS
TYPE OF LOAN BENEFICIARIES AND BENEFITS TERMS OF CREDIT
TUITION FEE LOAN

All UP Diliman students except cross-enrollees and those taking up CPE courses.

Up to 100% of assessed fees (except student fund) upon approval of the Chancellor.

Loans shall bear interest at the rate of six per centum (6%) per annum from the dates on which they are made. Interest shall be waived on loans which are paid within four (4) months.

Amount due (principal plus interest) may be paid in full or partial payments.


REQUIREMENTS Duly accomplished Loan Board and Student copies of the application loan; 1x1 ID photo of student; GSIS / SSS ID (or any valid ID) of parent / relative as co-debtor (UP employees and faculty are not qualified).

AVAILABILITY May be availed during the registration period until the last day of payment of each term.

SHORT TERM CASH LOAN

Enrolled Filipino undergraduate and graduate students

P3,000.00 / sem

Loan charges 0.5% interest per month.

An P18.00 service charge per semester is collected. Amount due plus service charge must be paid ONE MONTH before finals week.


REQUIREMENTS Validated UP Form 5; 1x1 ID photo of student; GSIS / SSS ID (or any valid ID) of parent/relative as co-debtor; photocopy of student's UP ID card (if available)

AVAILABILITY May be availed one month after Registration Period

UPAA SACRAMENTO & VICINITIES, USA (UPAASV) STUDENT LOAN FUND

Undegraduate Filipino students with good moral and scholastic standing

P5,000.00 / sem

Loan charges 6% interest per annum.

A service charge of 3% per annum is collected.

Amount due plus service charge must be paid ONE MONTH before finals week.


REQUIREMENTS Validated UP Form 5; TCG or CRS printout of grades; good moral certificate from SDT; 1x1 ID photo of student; GSIS/SSS ID (or any valid ID) of parent/relative as co-debtor; photocopy of student's UP ID card (if available).

AVAILABILITY May be availed one month after Registration Period

CHED - CENTERS OF EXCELLENCE (COE) STUDENT LOAN

Undegraduate Filipino students with good moral and scholastic standing

P5,000.00 / sem

Loan charges 6% interest per annum.

A service charge of 3.5% per annum is collected.

Amount due plus service charge must be paid ONE MONTH before finals week.


REQUIREMENTS Must be enrolled in CHED-identified COE courses in UP Diliman. During application must present validated UP Form 5; TCG or CRS printout of grades; good moral certificate from SDT; 1x1 ID photo of student; GSIS/SSS ID (or any valid ID) of parent/relative as co-debtor; photocopy of student's UP ID card (if available).

AVAILABILITY May be availed one month after Registration Period

CHED - STUDENT ASSISTANCE FUND FOR EDUCATION (SAFE) LOAN

Undegraduate Filipino students with good moral and scholastic standing

P5,000.00 / sem

Loan charges 6% interest per annum.

A service charge of 3.5% per annum is collected.

Amount due plus service charge must be paid ONE MONTH before finals week.


REQUIREMENTS Must be enrolled in CHED Priority Courses (CMO No.4, s. 2011) in UP Diliman. During application must present validated UP Form 5; TCG or CRS printout of grades; good moral certificate from SDT; 1x1 ID photo of student; GSIS/SSS ID (or any valid ID) of parent/relative as co-debtor; photocopy of student's UP ID card (if available).
